Napa Fire destroys home
Donation protected
Hello Friends and Family,
I'm posting this on behalf of my neighbors, Bill and Theresa. This humble, sweet couple are grieving from their loss.
I’m asking for your help. They are still in shock and don’t know where to start. Any amount you can donate will be greatly appreciated…and please pray that Coco, their kitty, comes out from hiding!
Our earthquake story: After the deafening rumbles and the crash of breaking items I knew it was bad. Then, I heard the explosion. My son and I immediately went outside and heard Theresa and Bill calling for their kitty. It was pitch black. I could see the smoke arising from the side of their house.
I could hear they were confused and not sure what was going on. My son said, “Mom they have to get out of there. It could blow up.”
As we helped Theresa and Bill escape their home, there was no time to retrieve any personal items. Within seconds flames engulfed the house.
We stood there helplessly and watched it burn, along with the 3 others around them. It was nearly 6 long minutes before help arrived.
The firefighters did their best but the water main was broken in the earthquake and there was no pressure to put the fire out.
Like the majority of us in this park, Bill and Theresa do not have earthquake insurance. The fire insurance will help, but will not cover all the costs. Thank you for caring.
