Building Dream Factory Media Art Center In Auburn/Gresham

From the time we started the Dream Factory campaign in May of 2015, we have lost 2205 people and 12,380 have been shot. And we will continue because investing our time and resources in youth is the only way to save them.

Our youth are waiting for solutions to pull them away from street violence. We must build better communities by bringing better solutions for them to build upon. And we know technology is the fastest way to bring engagement and resources NOW. Dream Factory Media Art Center will be a state-of-the-art facility for creation, developing and training youth in 4 major industries. But the unique piece to our plan is EXPOSURE. All content created by participants will be streamed as LIVE PPV (Pay-Per-View), and then marketed to the massive mobile platform, which makes up over 4 trillion devices worldwide. We will not be just another band-aid program to spend time, but will be a outlet to give youth the tools they need to change their future. Our timeline is Summer 2019 and we need YOU… "If We Build It, They Will LIVE!”

Develop A Better Community...

Engaging Chicago's youth today takes more then just sticking a basketball in their hand. And for most, It take giving then a reason to get up to meet the day, after a night of violence in their neighborhood.

We can not simple tell them to "be good", without putting in front of them opportunities and means of changing their condition and a direct path away from what the streets offer them, which is more violence.

Dream Factory Media Art Center
is a vision developed under Chicago Village Project. We are a local youth advocate organization founded by me, John Kennedy and my wife Sherri. My family has been a resident of the Auburn/Gresham community for the over 50 years.

Dream Factory Media Art Center will be the first in a network of facilities we would like to build throughout Chicago for the cultivation of young leaders and entrepreneurs by using cutting edge technology, the internet and the mobile platform.

Dream Factory Media Art Center will be a 12,500 sq. ft. multi-purpose facility for the development of media content and training for youth & young adults.

Training will be concentrated in these major industries:

Music (Production & Engineer, Sound, Lighting, Stage)
Film/Video (Short Films, Music Videos, Youtube Producers, Documentaries)
Gaming (Local/National/Int. Competition, Game Development)
Fashion (Modeling, Design, Runway Productions)

Our mission is to teach participants how to create and build a financial base by using technology to widen the exposure of their products and services to the world.

Content and events will be streamed and distributed via the Internet and the mobile platform to smartphones, tablets, iPhones and Android devices.

Dream Factory Media Art Center training will be available all year round, with a number of classes specifically for building skill set for Chicago's growing film industry. An industry that has  hosted several block buster films like “Transformer” and film series Chicago Fire, Chicago PD, the new Fox series Empire and now Spike Lee's new film "ChiRaq", (the story about Chicago’s violent streets) that is under developement. Chicago is also home to the second largest film studio in American, called CineStudio.

With Chicago named right now as the city of violence, we wish the opportunities created by the Dream Factory Media Art Center will turn the tide of violence in our streets to better.
