DURHAM EASTER EGG RUN 2018

DURHAM EASTER EGG RUN used to be organised by Durham Constabulary until cutbacks could no longer run it. Tony Hudspith, a local man took the riding seat and brought this event back to life with the help of other volunteers . Our aim is to continue to deliver Easter Eggs with a massive convoy of around 1000 Motorbikes to the local Childrens Units Of Durham & Darlington Hospitals every Easter Sunday like we have done for years.
We also are supporting local charity's including Miles For Men, a charity linked with providing support to cancer related illnesses, Paws Up which supports retired Police dogs after their time in service has ended and Northumbria Blood Bikes, a vital lifeline for transporting blood supplies across the region and further.
All donations are given to the above causes to provide ongoing support to those who need it. NOTHING and I mean NOTHING will be taken by any of the team for running costs / expenses as its all done by volunteers.
I am organising this page as a trial for this year to see if we can help change the lives of those less fortunate than ourselves. This annual event gives all the satisfaction as from Durham to Darlington and the return journey we have well wishers and spectators lining the streets and main roads, and the smiles on the children's faces as they see us delivering the eggs to the wards as well as local press wanting to publish the story. I have been involved in this since the event started years ago and will be as long as I can be.
