Enriching the youth!

It is said that one should travel to expand ones perspective and enrich ones life. And this is undoubtedly true. But it is also the responsibility of those who are fortunate enough to travel, to enrich their destination, and more acutely the people they encounter. We are blessed so that we may bless others, and we pour into others, in hopes that they may in turn pour into others.
In this vein, We humbly request the support of our friends and family as we attempt to enrich the lives of our youth. This winter, we will be traveling to Lagos, Nigeria to lead a host of young ladies via workshops on health, hygiene, nutrition, and mental and spiritual mindfulness. We hope to inspire tangible change in said community via education, investment, love and compassion.
As to our background: we met a few years ago and quickly became the best of friends. Not only did we discover that we both actively strive to live full and deeply enriching lives, but we both also share an affinity for the humanities. We both worked together for a non profit organization in California called Target Excellence. Target Excellence provides summer learning programs and after school tutoring around the Sacramento area. Through Target Excellence we grew a passion for the importance of child development. Imani has a background in the culinary arts, and is presently working towards a degree in nutrition. Trenderlene will finish her own education this fall with a bachelor of arts in sociology and a minor in child and adolescents study. We both aspire to use our knowledge, education, and passions, to enact positive change in a community with which we both have ties.
The scope of our reach will largely be dependent on the resources afforded to us; the greater our resources, the greater the change that we affect.
Any and all support is greatly appreciated. Moreover, you will be enriching the lives of numerous young women. Please--pour into us so that we may pour into others.
Please email us to receive a program outline. The program will be held for four days and we will provide nutritious food, drinking water, positive energy, and a small gift bag to take home. The girls will range from ages 9-14 and we will be working with limited supplies. We need all the help we can get!
