Medical Bills Plus
Donation protected
Hello, I am reluctantly asking for help primarily with my medical expenses. Since December of 2013 I have incurred over $5,000 in medical bills (I have medicare for most of the costs) and the doctors are talking about another possible hospital stay. I have broken my arm, had a 24 hr stay for what turned out to be thyroid eye disease (I now have permanent double vision) and spent 3 days in the hospital on IV antibiotics since December.
Humana (my drug plan) reports that last month I spent $500 on perscriptions because I have hit the Medicare gap. This expense should continue until the end of the year. I am on disability with 2 bulging discs, 1 desicated disc, Lupus, chronic fatigue, chronic depression, diabetes and all the smaller things like high blood pressure, etc. I have had 2 TIAs and use a wheelchair or walker any time I walk more than 100 ft. I also currently have an open wound on my right ankle that has been there since Dec. This is another ongoing expense
My secondary wish is to be able to afford a washer/dryer and a full sized refrigerator. I moved from my apartment to a mobile home on the understanding that a friend would let me borrow a stackable washer/dryer as I cannot health wise really do laundramats. I just found out that they will be unable to provide that. I spent all my retirement ($4000) to move to a mobile home with less rent. Unfortunately there were no appliances, many of the windows don't close all the way, the room air conditioner didn't work well and there is termite damage every where. Most of this I feel I can work on slowly saving for but the washer/dryer is an immediate concern and I have to admit that I would love a full sized refrigerator so I could eat better meals. All money donated will either got to medical expenses or making the mobile home more livable.
Thank you to everyone who helps and especially those who spread the word to all thier friends via the various social media that I don't access. Thank you.
