Alan Evans: Friend in Need

Alan Evans, trumpeter had a heart attack last Saturday (9/6/14) at SeaWorld. He was hospitalized and suffered two small strokes. As of Wednesday morning (9/17/14), he is stable, sitting up, not quite "with it" yet, but seems to recognize people.

Alan is one of my most favorite people. His dry, British wit never fails to devastatingly describe any situation with an overlay of coded, personal sarcasm and humor. He is also one of the most stalwart and honest human beings that I have met.

I know from recent experience that any encounter with a hospital involves financial stress, both in constant and unexpected payments and in loss of income. Alan’s wife, Carlann is facing this situation with the stoicism and courage that it demands, but I know that she and their two children could use our support right now.
