The LGBTQ Prom is an amazing, powerful initiative started by Baltimore-based youth-serving activists and organizations. The Prom provides a safe, affirming space for all Maryland-area LGBTQ youth and allies to enjoy their special night surrounded by community and love. Youth who attend are welcomed and celebrated for exactly who they are.
Now, in its third year, the LGBTQ Prom has been fully funded and supported by generous donors from our community. The very first prom in 2015 attracted 135 youth. Last year, we celebrated nearly doubling our attendance--235 youth attended. This year, we are hoping for another significant increase.
