Help Haider from Syria
Donation protected
Haider is among the millions of Syrian refugee children who are caught in alarmingly deteriorating conditions, facing an even bleaker future because of the Syrian civil war. Haider who fled the war-torn Syrian city of Homs
has been stranded in Istanbul for the past months after Morocco denied him entry. His mother died in Syria.
The boy's father, Bashar, has legal residency and a job in Morocco and is married to a Moroccan woman, with whom he has a second son.
Bashar travelled to Turkey to try and bring Haider, who had been living in the country, to Morroco but both ended up sleeping on the floor of Casablanca Airport for a few days.
They were both eventually deported back to Turkey on June 24. Bashar has returned to Morocco 6 weeks ago where his wife was heavily pregnant. Haider is staying with Boutaina Azzabi who has been his guardian angel and taking care of him as if he was her own child.
A few weeks ago we thought it would only be a matter of days before Morocco would approve his visa application to enter the country and be reunited with his father but it was rejected for a 3rd time.
How you can help make a difference:
With your kind donation you can help create a somewhat stable life for Haider and support his basic needs, assistance and protection.
Don't hesitate to contact me should you have any queries or/if further information is needed.
