Children's Park Memorial for Coni
Donation protected
Coni Hollingsworth left this world all too soon on July 5th of 2014, after a 17-month-long battle with pancreatic cancer. Coni lived in River Oaks subdivision, along with her husband of 40 years, Clay. Their only grandchild, Gage, has spent many happy times visiting the River Oaks Community park in their neighborhood, though he always referred to it as "Cookie's Park" because he was certain that it belonged to his Cookie and Grandpa.
We would love for this park to continue to be a source of joy for all of the children in this area, especially any future grandchildren that will never know their amazing "Cookie" but will be able to have many happy times at Cookie's Park.
Anyone that knew Coni knows that she adored being outdoors, relished in being with her grandson and children, and spent the majority of her time doing for others. We can think of no better way to honor her beautiful spirit than by improving upon this neighborhood park by donating equipment in her name. Our goal is to raise enough to purchase playground equipment and possibly a picnic pavilion by September of 2017.
This project is supported by the Monroe Rotary Club, and all donations to help us memorialize our beloved Coni by bringing the happiness of play to area children will be greatly appreciated. Thank you for reading our story. God bless!
