Gulf Coast Equality Fest and Center
Hi. Im John Perkins, President of Gulf Coast Equality Council. We are here today raising money for two reasons. First, we would like to bring a LGBT+ Community Center to the Mississippi Gulf Coast and we are also raising money to support our second annual Gulf Coast Equality Festival which will be on October 20, 2018 in Biloxi,Mississippi.
The Coast Equality Council is a non-profit organization comprised of LGBT+ individuals and allies whose purpose is to bring the Mississippi Gulf Coast community together with resources in an effort to foster and encourage equality while celebrating our diversity.
LGBT+ Community Center
The vision of The Coast Equality Council is to open a Community Center for the LGBT+ community that will provide outreach and services to LGBT+ people, allies, families, and friends. The center will also be used to educate the general public and the LGBT+ communities about needs, issues, and various aspects of our culture. We are currently in the process of raising funds to make this a reality.
Gulf Coast Equality Festival
Gulf Coast Equality Council produces a LGBT+ equality event yearly, and for our allies, that inspires, educates, commemorates, and celebrates our community and our allies. The event is Gulf Coast Equality Festival. Our 2017 festival was a great sucess. This year will be our second annual festival. It will be on October 20, 2018 at Harrah's Great Lawn at Harrah's Gulf Coast in Biloxi, Mississippi from 11am to 6pm. It will feature music, vendors, kids activites, and more. We are raising money to support the cost of the festival.
Gulf Coast Equality Council is an exempt organization as described in Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. It is tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. EIN: 82-4328463.
We thank you for your interest and your support!
