Save Magellan!

Magellan the Orange Wonder is in trouble. Early Saturday morning, he got it into his fluffy head to break into a box of doughnuts and nibble on a chocolate one. At first he seemed like he might get off with just a bad tummy-ache (it was only a tiny bit of chocolate), but as the day wore on, it became obvious that my little cat brother was in a lot of pain. We took him to the emergency vet hospital where they were able to pretty quickly determine that it wasn't the doughnut that was doing him in. 

Something was blocking his urinary tract, and they were pretty sure they were going to have to put a cathetor in him to remove the blockage. Buuuuuut, they'd watch him for a few hours just in case it unblocked on it's own. Well, we just got the call; the blockage is still there and my brother Magoo is going to be in the hospital for a little while.

The estimate they've given us for his expenses is $1,560, and suffice to say, we don't have that sort of money lying around.

We've got some generous friends who know and love Magoo, and we're looking into emergency pet funds, but we've already had to spend $900 tonight that we don't have just to get them to begin treating him and keeping him out of pain. Any amount you can send this way will be immensely appreciated. Magellan is one of the sweetest cats I've ever known in my 26 years of cat camraderie. He's my little cat brother and my mom's late-life child, being her constant compaion as she's recovered from her stroke.

Please help us take care of my little cat bro!
