We need to protect healthcare workers so they can protect us.
THE PROBLEM:
With the number of COVID-19 cases doubling every week, healthcare workers are exposing themselves everyday in the fight against the virus. They are most valuable in ensuring the health and safety of our community, yet PPE is critically low, failing to protect those working hard to treat others. Several friends who work in local hospitals have recounted managers locking up supplies, only able to distribute clean masks to the ICU or emergency departments. Nurses and Doctors have been forced to clean and reuse old masks due to the scarce supplies. This situation has been ongoing for weeks and there is yet to be a solution.
WHAT WERE DOING:
We need to help protect our local healthcare workers in these critical times. To help the situation I would like to purchase masks directly from Chinese Factories to give to local hospitals and healthcare workers to keep them healthy and safe, enduring the frontlines of the fight against COVID-19. Our goal is to ensure that there is enough resources to go around, so that not only do healthcare workers have supplies, but those in need as well. The current price that I can get for masks is about $1 each for surgical masks, and $5 each for N95. As the cases increase all around the world, we are expecting the prices might increase as well. Purchasing from the factory that supplies hospitals and organizations around the world, we are able to get the best price & quality, however it requires a minimum order of 50,000 pieces per order.
HOW YOU CAN HELP:
1 Dollar = 1 Mask. Chip in 1 or 5, whatever you can afford, and share with your friends, everyone counts! Not everyone can be a healthcare worker, but we can help protect our heroes!
