Christopher's Transportation

Hello family and friends. Most of you have been on this journey with us following Christopher's story and there's a few of you who have just started following.

In a few shorts words of what happened in Dec 2019 when Christopher was 10, he had a slow leakage in his appendix which caused it to rupture, went into septic shock and cardiac arrest in the emergency room. He was revived after 9-1/2 minutes, airlifted to LA/USC where he remianed until February 2020 and transferred to CHLA, he was discharged March 12, 2020 the day before the world shut down due to Covid.

Christopher is now 14 years old and has made little to some progress from then until now. He is still currently bed bound, non mobile, non verbal. He has a trach, gtube and a ventilator.

Christopher's progress is that he doesn't need the ventilator to breathe, the team of Doctors are discussing possibly removing the trach and he can now communicate with his eyes through an eye gaze device.

During the time of the incident we were blessed to have transportation services that the Doctor signed off and provided. With that help we were able to make it to some appointments not all due to us not being picked up, never having a reliable company.

With Christopher making little progress daily we have decided to start this GoFundMe to reach a goal for Christopher to have his own vehicle to make it to and from his appointments, go places again, visit friends and family and of course for emergencies.

We've been asked by many on how they can help or what they can do to help us, our family and Christopher.
