Stamp Out Hate-20th Century Passion

Donation protected
Dr. A. Peter Gary passed away at age 92 on September 18. The concert will now be a memorial tribute to the life of a man who was dedicated to educating children on the horrid effects of hate - and encouraged thousands to stamp out hate and make a better world.

We are hopeful that the concert will be broadcast live to a theater in Victoria, BC, so Peter's friends and widow may attend. Additionally, we are working furiously on a live streaming internet feed of the concert. Please check back every few days for an announcement.

Funds are still needed to round out the cost of the concert in Israel, the theater in Victoria, the broadcast and the documentary on Peter's life and the concert.

**********

A 20th Century Passion is an Oratorio that depicts the story of the Holocaust, the SHOAH from the end of WWI through the Nuremburg trials. It is a HUGE piece (score alone is 587 pages) that requires a full orchestra, an adult and a children’s choir as well as 4 soloists plus the conductor.

That’s over 100 people involved in the performance. It is set to premier October 17 in Jerusalem – if there is enough to finance the rehearsals, logistics and everything else needed to bring it to life.

Give today. Instead of a latte, give to the music. Challenge your friends to give. If each of the 66,000 students who heard Peter’s message over the last 25 years gave us $2 - $5, we’d be able to have the concert, make the documentary AND have funds to donate to help the dwindling number of survivors left.

It takes a lot of cash to bring something of this size to life. We need your help, now.

The composer, Peter Gary, a survivor of 3 death camps is a classically trained composer. He wrote both the score and the libretto in the 1970’s as a remembrance of the children murdered by the Nazi’s. The piece has never been performed.

Over the last 25 years, Peter has traveled to high schools, speaking to students about hate, about bullying, about the Holocaust. He leaves them with a message. Stamp out hate.

In these turbulent times, this message is more important than ever. The horrors visited upon Peter and his family are being repeated. Help us spread the word to stop the horrors. Help stamp out hate.

WHY DO YOU HATE ME SO MUCH?!

Why do you hate me so much?
What have I done to you? –
You really haven’t, but you are a Jew!
For this alone you have to hate…
Why don’t you see me as human, awake?
You must have some feeling,
So many of us, not knowing – just killing…!
Whether it’s many that I kill or few
Matters so little, since you are a Jew!
Look at our women they’re mothers like yours;
Our whimpering children, the frightened old…
Don’t you have young ones, or fathers who…
Oh yes we have them, but none of them Jew!
Our leader decided for all you to die!
We are the masters and do as told…
Being big, strong and hardened and bold…
Look how I’m smiling the same smile you have,
Whenever I’m bleeding my blood is the same red.
I’m speaking the same voice,
Our hands are the same…
I told you, you fool Jew, I told you in vain…
You are not worthy, not human, that’s that!
I pity you man –
When you finished killing – you too are dead.
