Ice storm tore off our electric meter
Donation protected
The ice storm in Oklahoma City on Oct 26, caused branches to fall on our power line and rip them from the back of the house, it tore off everything including the top of the box that houses our electric meter.
Unfortunately, we have to have it fixed by a licensed electrician before we can have power again. And the electricians weve talked to so far, won't do it without bringing parts of my old houses electrical system up to code. The lowest estimate so far has been $8,175, which we can't afford.
We've already been over a week without power and i dont know what else to do. Any help you can provide would be truly appreciated.
We are a poor, queer family living in the Bible belt who cannot often afford upkeep on our home, and lacking electricity and an internet connection is denying us one of our incomes, streaming on twitch.tv/SquirrelLilly which makes surviving that much more difficult.
