SPCC and JCF 5 Boro Bike for Charity

My name is James Simone and I'm a founding member of the Slumber Party Cycling Club (SPCC). A Westchester-based cycling club started in 2020 during the pandemic by 4 friends looking to stay active during lockdown. On Sunday, May 7, I will be participating in the TD Five Boro Bike Tour in New York City a charitable ride that funds free bike education programs reaching thousands of New Yorkers each year. I am proud to be riding with Bike New York to raise money for The John Crimmins Foundation (JCF) a charity created in memory of my best friend who passed in 2015.

John was a very active person who participated in spartan races, marathons for charity, and was a contributor to organizations focused on health and wellness such as Swim Across America and the Movember foundation. Throughout the years following his passing I have adopted an athletic mindset and a love of physical fitness that I did not have in the years prior and wish to share and continue his legacy.

Contributions will go directly towards helping a Long Beach Charity called Surfers Way:

and other charities catered to helping people with seizure disorders as well as organizations focused on promoting health and wellness in the community.

Donations of $50 or more will receive a free JFC t-shirt or tank top of choosing (while supplies last first come first serve basis) just make sure your donation is public and drop your desired size in the comments and I will personally get you the merch after the ride on May 7th.

I am excited to be riding in the name of my best friend for a team that I’m sure he would have been a part of.
