We are the Central Washington University Horn Club. We are composed of 16 members, mostly French Horn Music performance and education majors, and a few members from other majors. We have an opportunity of a lifetime before us - The 56th annual International Horn Symposium happens to be hosted this year at Colorado State University. This is the closest this international event has been in many years.

Your support for this trip would allow Horn Club members to attend Presentations and Masterclasses presented by leading professionals, Performances by some of the finest hornists in the world, AND, most importantly, provide an opportunity for our wonderful Horn Club to perform a recital (if our proposal is accepted) for a large audience of our musical peers. Our members will also have the opportunity to participate individually and together in symposium competitions and masterclasses.

The money raised by this effort will be used by the CWU Horn Club to pay for student travel expenses including but not limited to university vehicle rental, symposium room and board, and registration fees.

The CWU Horn Club is advised by Professor Jeffrey Snedeker and is open to any CWU student who plays the horn and wants to play in our ensemble. We have performed at past regional symposia of the Northwest Horn Society, and we have a history of being accepted to perform at IHS. No students in the current group have had the opportunity to attend an international symposium, so this really is a one-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Thank you for your consideration.
