Help Daniel Beat Hodgkin’s Lymphoma
Donation protected
My son Daniel is a hardworking 26-year-old union carpenter who was recently diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.
How It Started
At first, it seemed like nothing more than severe back pain—he described it as feeling like a rod going straight through his chest. Assuming it was work-related strain, he tried everything: stretching, foam rolling, and waiting it out. But nothing helped.
All of this came at an already difficult time. Several months earlier, Daniel lost his father. Grieving, he pushed through the pain, convinced it was just stress or a work-related strain.
Then, on January 13, 2025, after weeks of enduring the pain, his family and friends convinced him to see a doctor. He still believed it was just muscle strain.
A Life-Changing Call
Three days later, on January 16, he received a call from his doctor.
The words were devastating:
“I’m not going to sugarcoat this. Drop your tools. Don’t wait for another appointment. You need to go to the ER right now. You either have leukemia or lymphoma.”
Remembering a friend who passed away from leukemia just three years ago, Daniel packed up his tools and headed straight to the hospital.
The Diagnosis
Daniel was immediately admitted and spent 11 days in the hospital. During that time, doctors performed a bone marrow test and removed a lymph node for biopsy.
The results confirmed his worst fear:
➡️ Hodgkin’s Lymphoma
Daniel is now undergoing chemotherapy every two weeks for six months, after which he will move into the next stage of care, which includes further treatment and evaluation.
Choosing to Fight
The morning after his first chemo session, he just kept staring out of the hospital window, feeling overwhelmed. But his mind cannot, and did not, remain in that state. Instead of dwelling on fear, he decided to focus on moving forward.
On February 6, 2025, Daniel received his second round of chemotherapy. He remains as determined as ever.
My son is strong, but he can’t fight this battle alone. My family can’t fight this battle alone.
How You Can Help
There are countless fundraisers out there—many of them for heartbreaking causes. But this one is personal to me, and I need to reach out. The financial burden of cancer—medical costs, lost income, and daily expenses—is more than any middle-class family can bear alone.
I’m doing everything I can, but no one can truly prepare for something like this.
➡️ Your support can make a real difference. Every donation—no matter the size—will go directly toward Daniel’s medical treatment and essential expenses, helping him stay focused on his fight.
Thank you for standing with my son during this difficult time.
