Bereavement Support for the Murray Family

Donation protected
Dear Friends,

We are devastated to share that on December 27 at 11:06am, JD made his transition into God's embrace. He was surrounded by love until the very end with his father, sisters, his four children and of course his wife, Pamela, who never left his side these past seven months. His family and friends were overwhelmed by the support you gave during his treatment as it was a testament to him, that his love was returned.

We are transitioning this campaign to bereavement support for his family to help with the remaining medical bills and months ahead without income. With your extended help, we can give them some comfort during this unimaginable adjustment. Waking up to this new reality is just settling in for them and we want to show them that we are still here to support them in their grief and beyond.

We are all heartbroken to have lost our dear friend. We will miss the laughter, the beaming million dollar smile and the love he gave to those who had the pleasure of knowing him. ‘Good-night, sweet prince; And flights of angels sing thee to thy rest.'

You are invited to the Virtual Novena Services for JD over the next 9 days: 12/28/ 2020 thru 1/05/2021 every night at 7pm PST. Zoom Meeting ID: [phone redacted] 9346 Password: Murray94 Please join us for prayer.

Welcome sweet friends, colleagues, family and all others that are fortunate enough to know JD MURRAY....and a warm hello to those who are hearing about him for the first time. This fundraiser is in support of JD on his road to recovery from pancreatic cancer. What started out as some abdominal discomfort in February 2020 has resulted in a May 21st diagnosis of stage IV pancreatic adenocarcinoma. After many tests and scans, the doctors found a 2cm growth  that has spread to the surrounding lymph nodes. One day he was a dedicated family man and freelance camera operator enjoying his life in Santa Clarita, and the next, just like that, he is preparing for the fight of his life. While he has worked over two decades as a camera operator in film and television, he spends much of his time looking through the lens of his own camera to document and tell the stories of his loved ones. JD's friends and family know him as a prolific photographer and have relied on his talents to tell the story of their lives. We are gathering to make sure HIS story has a happy ending. We are pledging to carry him through to remission and we are asking you to help us.

It goes without saying that healing cancer takes energy, prayer, organization, focus, doctors, hospitals, medicine, support, insurance and most definitely MONEY.  Funding is needed immediately to get the best medical care possible to heal JD right now. Funding is also needed to keep his wife Pam, his children Pierson, Charlotte, Kathleen and Max, sound and stress free while he takes a time out from work to focus one hundred percent on his health and well being.  In addition to the multiple medical bills that will be coming his way as he has has already started clinical trials at UCLA Medical Center (which handles more cases of pancreatic cancer than almost any other hospital in the country), he is also exploring holistic and alternative forms of medicine that are not covered by insurance.

There is a lot going on in the world right now, but to those that love JD and there are many of us....  from childhood friends, to Saint Ignatius Prep high school friends in San Francisco, to his LMU college fraternity brothers, film school friends, current colleagues in the entertainment industry to his family in Marin County, his neighbors in Santa Clarita and  friends & family in Mexico…we ask for your financial support to help our dear friend.  Please consider donating - nothing is too small. And if you cannot donate right now, all prayers, positive energy and focused meditation on his good health and well-being are welcomed.

His current Reiki healer made sure to share that his dearly departed mother Martha, is always there with him during his sessions and that Martha is not worried.  So rest assured that when JD is on the other side of this, we will be using a portion of these funds to host his CANCER FREE CELEBRATION where he will join the success stories of those who beat pancreatic cancer before him...and you will all be invited...

Now, let's plan a party!
