Munsee Three Sisters Farm

The Mutual Aid Working Group of the North NJ chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America is raising money to help purchase materials needed for the Ramapough Lunaape Turtle Clan’s Munsee Three Sisters Medicine Farm in Newton, NJ. This farm will, in the words of Chief Vincent Mann, “not only be utilized for sustenance, but also for educating our children and families in the traditional ways of our ancestors.” Plans are underway to clear land for an orchard, so we need to raise funds for preparing this land and the purchase of fruit trees. Our previous fundraisers helped purchase materials for a chicken coop, a poly tunnel greenhouse and a drip irrigation system. We aim to help the Turtle Clan maximize the money they are spending out of pocket on the farm and lighten their burden for large dollar outlays.
