South Portland Christmas Toy Drive

PLEASE HELP! and PLEASE HELP US SPREAD THE WORD!
Celebrating our 10th year of helping South Portland Children in need!
Last year we helped over 280 children with new warm coats, boots and of course toys!
The drive is a partnership with the City of South Portland’s Police Department, South Portland Police Patrolmen’s Association, South Portland Fire Department, The South Portland Professional Firefighters Local #1476, the South Portland School System, the South Portland Community Center, Maine Roofing Inc, Evie’s Ferry Village Watering Hole, Port Harbor Marine and People’s United Bank- Millcreek.
Each year we collect hundreds of new toys, boots and coats which are distributed to the identified families with the help of our local police officers. We work with the teachers and school administrators in each of the schools and they identify those children most in need. We work hard to help make the holidays just a little bit brighter for every child on our list and this effort would not be possible without the help of our generous community.
100% of the money raised will be used to purchase the needed items for the children. In addition to raising funds we are also looking for businesses, groups or individuals to "adopt families" for our drive. All you need to do is specify how many children in a family you would like to buy a coat, boots and some toys for!
We are also looking for donations of new, unwrapped toys, art supplies, gift cards and items for teens which can be dropped off at the businesses listed on the poster. The deadline for donations is Friday, December 10th.
We have made it even easier to donate this year. We have two QR codes on the poster- one for our GOFUNDME site and the other for our VENMO account. The money goes directly into the Police Patrolmen’s Association Charitable Funds Account.
OR
You can make a donation by check. Please make the check payable to the SPPP Community Needs Fund (South Portland Policemen's Association) and drop it off or mail it to:
Maine Roofing- 24 Bishop Ave, South Portland ME 04106.
And as always, I hope you will join us for our annual toy drive party being held at Evie’s Ferry Village Watering Hole- Sawyer Street, South Portland on Saturday December 11th starting at 6:00 P.M. Please bring new unwrapped toys and join us for a night of fun and cocktails!
For more information call Liz Darling at [phone redacted] or by email at [email redacted] , or stop by our shop – Maine Roofing- 24 Bishop Avenue in South Portland.
