A Young Family Made Homeless.

Hi all, my name is Jazmin, the story below is unbelievable and shocking to us al. I am fundraising for my cat, Butterscotch, (vet bills) and to help our family get by. I'll fill you in on the fine details. It's a long one so hold on tight.

On Friday the 20th May 2022 my cat Butterscotch was hit by a car on our campsite, (we lived on a chalet site as its cheaper and more convinient) wich I witnessed with my own eyes. The people who hit our family cat didn't stop to ask if she was okay, or even apologise. Later that evening I went to find the people who did it having seen it happen myself I knew the car I was looking for, to ask for some eknowlegment or even an apology, I found the car and knocked on the door.

To my surprise I was greeted with screaming and shouting as soon as he opened the front door. I hadn't even had a chance to say a single word. Turns out the man and the wife who had hit our cat and failed to stop were the owners of the campsite we lived on. His response to me saying (when he eventually allowed me to) that he had hit our cat and didn't stop was "I'm the owner of this f###ing site, you do know that? In fact I want you off in the morning. Gone you're f###ed. off!!'

I didn't take much notice of this as he was quite obviously taking the matter way too far, I said you know what, dont worry about it its fine. He followed me round the site back to my chalet shouting and screaming I was in the wrong the entire time. By now I'm frightened and crying in all honesty.

We got Butterscotch to the vets once he had left us alone. The next morning woke up to our electricity being cut of, saying he wouldn't turn it back on until we had our stuff out of our chalet and left the site. He wouldn't switch it on so I could even do my 18month old daughter breakfast that morning.

Saturday consisted of us getting our belongings out of our home and dividing them up into 4 different house houlds to be stored, we were now homeless with our pet in the vets and an 18month old child.

Sunday we were refused our deposit back from our home, even though it didn't concern the landlord and we looked after our home.

Today - monday the 23rd of may. So far we have paid almost 1000 (that we didn't and don't have) in vet bills, we now have Butterscotch in surgery, in hope they can repair her, if not then an amputation is needed for the leg. Costing extra in vet bills and after care, this has been a whirl wind of a weekend, were now staying on a family members sofa until we can sort accommodation for our family.

I'm beside myself, and something like this is never something I would do or even ask for help, we are in desperate need. And would appreciate anyone even sharing our page to spread the word about how disgusting some people can treat other humans and animals without even thinking twice about doing so.

Police have been contacted regarding the entire matter and we've been informed by them its a 'civil dispute' and as its private land there's nothing they can do.

We will continue to search for a way to get some sort of punishment or even egknowlegment for this to the man and woman responsible.

I think we just need time to process what's happened and how its happened.
