Alexa's Burn Recovery Fund

As most of you may know Alexa has been at the Legacy Emanuel Burn Unit since July 5th after an accident the left her with serious burns. She’s had 15 surgeries since she was admitted and has been moved from the burn unit to the ICU and she is making great progress! Alexa has always been a strong and vibrant person capable of taking care of herself and her family, but she could use our help now. Alexa had been unconscious for close to two months, she is now awake and ready to face this head on. This is the message that she gave us and wanted to communicate with all of you  

"I have been in the hospital for two months I fell into a fire pit in an accident on the 4th of July and burned over 50% of my body. I am still in the hospital for 6 more weeks and I will have continued rehabilitation for the next year after I'm discharged. I was unconscious for a month and a half and have to relearn to walk, eat and dress myself again among many other everyday tasks we take for granted."
