ALL in for ASPEN

Donation protected

Aspen Mae Hansen is just 2 years old and she’s just been diagnosed with childhood Leukemia.

Aspen is the beautiful daughter of Jack and Jordan; and the wonderful older sister of 5 week old, Valley.

Aspen is a smart, vibrant, cheeky, thoughtful little girl, and she lights up every single room she enters; she has barely had the opportunity to experience this wonderful journey we call life.

The Hansen’s are an important part of the Sunshine Coast community, many of you will have had your kids taught at school by Jordan or been involved in Nippers with Jack or have simply just experienced what a wonderfully caring & giving family they are.

On August 16th Aspen woke up with small bruises on her body that had seemingly come from nowhere – after searching for an answer for 24hrs in the hospital on the Sunshine Coast; on the 17th of August the Hansen’s received the news no parent wants to hear – your daughter has leukemia.

They were rushed via Ambulance to the Queensland Children’s Hospital in Brisbane; where after a few hours when she had seemingly had enough, Aspen told her dad “all better now, home time.” But her diagnosis won’t allow her to go home, not for a little while anyway.

Now Jack and Jordan’s baby girl Aspen has the biggest challenge of her life ahead of her, Leukemia – Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia (ALL) - the most common type of Cancer in children.

It’s a battle that will involve chemotherapy, bone marrow transplants, constant trips to the hospital and a family that has had its entire world turned upside down.

Many of the Hansen’s family and friends in Queensland and those in Victoria have reached out looking to provide support in any way they can, and to send their love and well wishes. This widespread support is so appreciated by the family.

The Hansen’s are a special family and they could really use a hand in this tough time. We can’t simply solve this problem for Aspen, that’s up to the wonderful staff at Queensland Children’s Hospital, but by donating money it will make life a little easier on the entire family – so they can concentrate on the most important fight of their life.

So please give, a lot or a little, it doesn’t matter... spare what you can for this amazing little girl and her tough road ahead.

To Jack and Jord, and the extended Tomelty’s and Hansen’s - you have the weight of the world on your shoulders for Aspen, so let the rest of us help with the rest of it - we all love you, and we are all here for you.

As the sister of Jack, living in our home town of Torquay, I have set up this page on behalf of family and friends who were looking for ways to help Aspen and her family in this challenging time. Jack and Jordan will be added as the direct beneficiaries of the funds raised, with this much needed financial support being used to cover medical costs, and everyday expenses that come their way whilst living in Brisbane, including accommodation, transport and more.

Thank you to those close friends who continue to help with the organisation of this fundraising effort, offering support in any way they can x
