Angel Rose Artist Collective TransBIPOC Fundraiser
Donation protected
As the world collectively copes during covid-19, mutual aid has been the general direct response to mediate the pain we all feel. Angel Rose Artist Collective founded and led by TQBBIPOC has been active in providing support within the DMV area. Angel Rose Collective ARAC has provided an artist sanctuary for many TQBBIPOC.
ARAC has been providing a platform for TQBBIPOC that includes financial support, employment, community, and healing spaces when many theatres and organizations continuously fail to provide opportunity due to their own internalized prejudices. A safe space for many of us to activate positive performance and visual art as a platform to narrate our stories and stories of our siblings facing systematic violences confronting racism, ableism, and transphobia.
Due to inaccessibility, we were unable to obtain a small business loan which we desperately needed to finance the production of our shows that would allow us to give stipends to TQBBIPOC artists in our collective to perform and have access to leadership positions. In addition, ARAC needs your help to fund the active production of our virtual staged reading due to unexpected circumstances. Raising $10000.00 will financially anchor our collective.
On this #GiveOutDay, please give any money for the survival of the whole collective. We keep us safe and this money raise will create a financially sound foundation for ARAC, and DC's Trans BIPOC Artists.
Budget-
$5000 to pay 5 directors 2 months of work
$3500 to upcoming projects
$1000 to put towards a show ARAC is currently working on to ensure it’s greatness
$500 to 2 months rent on our visual arts studio
*extra $300 for fees*
