Project Despierta-Arte or Awaken ART - A Sacred Space for Childrens Laughter, Art, and the Earth
Aloha dear heart,
We are Iris & Diana:
I am a sole mother, an artist, and a woman devoted to being of service to life. Helping children and parents reconnect—with each other and with creativity, with laughter, and nature.
Three years ago I suddenly received the blessing of my miracle baby although I was infertile. It was a big surprise for me, and even more so being left alone with it.
So I decided to leave my whole life in the Canary Islands behind me and moved back to the mountains of Alicante where I grew up, so my mother could help me survive this new chapter as a single mother with cero experience.
This is where the Dream started to rise...
The plot of land belongs to my parents, who lovingly gave me the chance to try to make something meaningful here.
When I arrived, the plot was completely overgrown - so full of wild plants and trees that you couldn’t even walk through it.
The Miracle of the Permit
For two years, I have lived on the edge, pouring every bit of my heart and savings into this land.
- Clearing it by hand
- Planting trees and Carrying water to every single small tree (we don't have water yet, so I build two tanks that I was filling up manually)
- Caring for the soil day after day
All of this was necessary to prove that the land was alive, cultivated, and worthy of receiving a legal building permit for a small tiny house so that I could have water and electricity.
Everyone said getting a building permit here was impossible. But the mountain said yes and I MADE IT HAPPEN.
️ A Door Has Finally Opened!
I now have:
- Two months to submit the final project and get the building permit for my tiny house
- One year to build a legal tiny house with water and electricity
This is our chance to finally have a stable home.
My savings have come to an end and the house we are living in right now is for sale.
The chances to get a rent as a sole mother pursuing her purpose as an artist and being of service is not easy.
But this is also the foundation for something much bigger....
The Vision: A Forest School & Creative Sanctuary for the TRIBE
My dream is to create a forest school and community space where children and families can:
- Create art freely and develop their innate gifts
- Learn through and with nature how to Plant, harvest, and care for the Earth
- Discover medicinal plants and natural remedies
- Heal through laughter, movement, and expression
- Gather around sacred fire
Dance, sing, scream, and release and mostly...Build real community again.
A place where children remember who they are and are allowed to get dirty.
A place where ANIMALS can feel safe and protected (hopefully we can safe some and make a little tribe)
A place where creativity is sacred.
A place where nature is the teacher.
What We Are Raising Funds For
I am humbly asking for support to raise €25,000 Euro, which will allow us to create a safe home and lay the foundations of this living project.
Budget Breakdown (calculated low budget just to get going and not to loose the permit)
€1,800 – Architectural project & building permit (2 months time)
€20,000 – Building the tiny house & basic furniture (1 year time)
€2,600 – Water connection and infrastructure
€5,000 – Solar panels for sustainable energy (
Any funds raised above €25,000 will be invested in:
- Maintaining the land
- More trees and medicinal plants
- Creating children’s creative spaces
- Infrastructure for community gatherings
Growing Together
In the future, I would love to add:
- A yurt or small camper spaces
- Shared living for people who wish to help care for the land
- Volunteers, artists, and families creating in cooperation
I also joyfully accept this kind of support:

- Art supplies
- Children’s materials
- Tools, furniture, or anything that could support a forest school or the project

Proyecto Despierta-Arte: Un Hogar y Santuario de Conexión en la Naturaleza
Aloha, alma querida,
Somos Iris y Diana.
Soy madre soltera, artista y una mujer dedicada a estar al servicio de la vida. Mi propósito es ayudar a niños y padres a reconectar: entre ellos, con la creatividad, con la risa y con la naturaleza.
Hace tres años, recibí la bendición inesperada de mi bebé milagro, a pesar de que me habían dicho que era infértil. Fue una gran sorpresa, y más aún el encontrarme sola en este camino. Por eso, decidí dejar atrás toda mi vida en las Islas Canarias y regresar a las montañas de Alicante, donde crecí, para que mi madre pudiera apoyarme a sobrevivir a este nuevo capítulo como madre soltera con cero experiencia.
Y aquí es donde el Sueño comenzó a nacer...
El terreno pertenece a mis padres, quienes amorosamente me dieron la oportunidad de intentar crear algo significativo aquí. Cuando llegué, la parcela estaba completamente asilvestrada: llena de maleza y árboles tan densos que ni siquiera se podía caminar por ella.
Durante dos años, he vivido al límite, volcando cada pedazo de mi corazón y mis ahorros en esta tierra.
Limpiándola a mano.
Plantando árboles y llevando agua a cada pequeña planta (aún no tenemos agua, así que construí dos tanques que llenaba manualmente).
Cuidando el suelo día tras día.
Todo esto fue necesario para demostrar que la tierra estaba viva, cultivada y era digna de recibir un permiso legal para construir una pequeña "tiny house" y así poder tener agua y electricidad.
Todos decían que conseguir un permiso de construcción aquí era imposible. Pero la montaña (Peña L'Or) dijo que SÍ y yo HICE QUE SUCEDIERA.
¡Finalmente se ha abierto una puerta!
Ahora tengo:
Dos meses para presentar el proyecto y obtener el permiso de construcción.
Un año para construir una casa legal con agua y electricidad.
Esta es nuestra oportunidad de tener finalmente un hogar estable. Mis ahorros se han terminado y la casa donde vivimos actualmente está a la venta. Encontrar un alquiler como madre soltera y artista no es nada fácil.
Pero esto es también la base de algo mucho más grande...
La Visión: Escuela Bosque y Santuario Creativo para la TRIBU
Mi sueño es crear un espacio comunitario donde los niños y las familias puedan:
- Crear arte libremente y desarrollar sus dones innatos.
- Aprender con la naturaleza: plantar, cosechar y cuidar la Tierra.
- Descubrir plantas medicinales y remedios naturales.
- Sanar a través de la risa, el movimiento y la expresión.
- Reunirse en torno al fuego sagrado.
- Danzar, cantar, gritar, soltar y, sobre todo... volver a construir una comunidad de verdad.
Un lugar donde los niños recuerden quiénes son y se les permita mancharse.
Un lugar donde los ANIMALES se sientan seguros y protegidos.
Un lugar donde la creatividad es sagrada y la naturaleza es la maestra.
Para qué recaudamos fondos
Pido humildemente vuestro apoyo para recaudar 25.000 euros, lo que nos permitirá crear un hogar seguro y sentar las bases para este proyecto vivo.
Desglose del presupuesto (calculado al mínimo para no perder el permiso):
1.800 €: Proyecto y tasas del permiso (Plazo de 2 meses).
20.000 €: Construcción de la tiny house y mobiliario básico (Plazo de 1 año).
2.600 €: Conexión de agua e infraestructura.
5.000 €: Paneles solares para energía sostenible.
Cualquier fondo que supere los 25.000 € se invertirá en:
- Mantenimiento de la tierra y más árboles/plantas medicinales.
- Creación de los espacios creativos para niños.
- Infraestructura para encuentros comunitarios.
Creciendo Juntos
En el futuro, me encantaría añadir:
- Una yurta o espacios para pequeñas caravanas.
- Vida compartida para personas que deseen ayudar a cuidar la tierra.
- Voluntarios, artistas y familias creando en cooperación.
También acepto con alegría este tipo de apoyo material:
- Yurtas, caravanas o estructuras pequeñas.
- Materiales de arte y para niños.
- Herramientas, muebles o cualquier cosa que apoye la escuela bosque.
