Bournbrook DIY Fundraiser
Donation protected
We are raising funds towards the creation and further development of the DIY skatepark made by the Birmingham skateboard community. The DIY is in a location of which is a hub for so many people from different backgrounds, with different interests and activities taking place in the park. Home to graffiti writers since the eighties and a very visible and avid basketball community down everyday.
This park is only just now seeing the light of skateboarders and having taken the first steps already. We are reaching out to everyone to raise funds and prove to the council that we can do it and better than they can. Which is actually true. We have people involved who have worked for legitimate skatepark companies and built professional skate parks all over the UK and europe.
We have created a hashtag for the park which will be a place we can all post to which you can @birmingcitycounsil . This park is a huge asset to the local area, but it has no investment. As the council have now found out what we're doing, we are now having to work with them. So how else can we improve the park ?
