Brando's Giving Paws, benefitting local Rescues
Donation protected
I am holding this fundraiser in memory of Brando Buxton. Most anyone who knows me knows Brando, and is aware of how important he was to me. He was a family member who was with me 1/3 of my entire life and over half my adult life. He was well known around town and was no doubt Evansville's most famous dog.
Our local rescues and shelters are over-filled, the staff and volunteers are overwhelmed, and they are all in desperate need of funds, food, supplies etc. Brando always helped me with all our events and fundraisers, he drew people in to the tables and helped boost donations, he traveled to Louisville countless times to pick up over 100,000 pounds of food for local shelters and rescues, and he was included in many newspaper and magazine articles. He was the inspiration for the collaboration with Carsons Brewery to make a special beer and dog branded cans for a local rescue. He was the inspiration and the reason for my "Dining with Dogs" Courier & Press article that showcases a comprehensive list of local restaurants that allow companion animals, both here in Evansville and in Louisville, KY. He affected so many people and brought smiles to everyone’s face that met him - I want to continue this positivity in his memory.
❤️❤️
Please share this post and together we can do some great things for the needy, homeless dogs and cat in our area.
I am hoping to raise $10,000, 100% of which will be donated to at minimum 3 local shelters and rescues, to assist them their with spay / neuter programs, emergency vet care & obtaining a large supply of food, beds etc.
I have a lofty goal of raising $10,000. It’s a large number, but here’s why we can easily reach this goal. In the 5 or so posts I’ve made about Brando on Facebook, there have been 1,820 Reactions, 604 Comments and 13 Shares. If everyone who liked / loved a post or left a comment could donate $5.00 we could raise $12,120.00. Or a $10.00 donation could double that! I know food and fuel (and everything else) is expensive, but any donation will make a huge difference to our local shelters, and it would mean a lot to me!
Thank you.
