Brodie's Battle with Acute Leukaemia

Hi, my name is Vince from Di Prinzio Concreting. We have started this Go Fund Me Page on behalf of one of our Mid-North Coast employees, Brodie Turner, his Partner Breanna and his children, Talakai, Oakah and Mia.

On Thursday 20th July, Brodie was rushed to Taree Hospital after fainting at home and then having a seizure whilst unconscious. Without wasting time, his partner Breanna rushed him to Taree Hospital where tests were carried out and showed Brodie's Haemoglobin levels were dropping drastically. After 4 bags of blood transfusion at Taree, testing began to find out the cause of the seizure.

On Friday morning, Brodie was transported to Newcastle to the Calvery Mater, Newcastle where Brodie and Breanna were delivered the news that no one wants to hear…… “You have Leukemia”.

Brodie will begin the fight of his life on Monday 24th July with bone marrow surgery, chemotherapy and leukemia medication and a plan to fight this disease. With the treatment ahead, this has meant that Brodie and his family have relocated to Newcastle whilst he undergoes medical treatments. Brodie also learnt on this day that he has been diagnosed with Acute Fast Spreading Leukaemia.

Brodie works as a concrete finisher for Di Prinzio Concreting Pty Ltd based on the Mid-North Coast in Forster. Unfortunately, he is unable to work and support his family whilst having treatments. Breanna cannot work either so she can be by his side through this battle ahead. A selfless and respected person, Brodie is not the type of person who would ever ask for help or assistance in times like these ahead.

So, I have put together this gofundme account on behalf of Brodie, Breanna and their children. The main goal is to ensure that their family are eased from the financial burdens and heartaches that they face in the upcoming months whilst being away from home and their children. The cost of living away from home, supporting their children, medical expenses, travelling to and from Newcastle, accommodation, food, parking, medication…… the list goes on!
