At 37 years old, Bryan Witte is leaving us much too soon. On Saturday, July 9, 2022, he suffered a heart attack at home. Although he was brought back with chest compressions, too much time had passed before he was discovered, and so he will unfortunately not make it. I’ll update this as soon as he passes, which will likely be later today. Even though his life was cut too short, his organs might be able to give others longer lives, and so we’re waiting for those arrangements to be put in place before we say our last goodbyes.
Bryan had a lot of great (and quirky) qualities, but planning for the future wasn’t at the top of the list. He lived life in the moment and didn’t anticipate checking out of his life quite this soon.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to his funeral and related costs would be appreciated. We hate to ask, but with the exorbitant cost of funerals nowadays, it’s tricky to manage without help.
He would probably have preferred donations in the form of gold nuggets, but we’re a bit more realistic and thought GoFundMe might be a more practical option. (If you think I’m kidding about the gold, it was his goal and passion in life to one day discover a gold vein.)
We love and appreciate you all. As soon as we have information on his funeral arrangements we’ll make sure you receive that information. In the meantime, keep an eye out for any flecks of gold whenever you see a rock. He knows it’s in there somewhere.
With all our love,
