Valencia Upshaw is a very active smart 8 year old with lots of personality. She does gymnastics and cheer competitions with NCT, and dance w/ Jennifer Leigh's Dance Gallery. Valencia keeps her mother very busy! She is a student at New Castle Christian academy and a member of Prevailing Word World Outreach center. She was recently severely burned by a hairdresser who boiled water to dip her braids and somehow the entire pot spilled and left Valencia in this painful condition. This unfortunately has left her with 2nd and 3rd degree burns on 25% of her body. She was life flighted to Pittsburgh to Mercy trauma/burn unit. She does not have insurance and has to have the 1st of several surgeries on Monday. Her medical bills have already passed $50,000 and growing! She still has to have physical therapy for 6 to 12 months after her last surgery. We are asking all that can help please donate. Her mother, Vakia Armstrong upshaw has always been a pillar in the community and gives to so many people and organizations that it should not be a problem with giving back!
