Caerula Mar Hurricane Dorian Relief
Donation protected
Hurricane Dorian has caused massive destruction across many of the Northern Islands of the Bahamas. Our hearts are breaking for the people that have been affected by this devastating storm.
Caerula Mar was not directly impacted or damaged by Dorian, however the storm continues to affect many islands in the Bahamas. After experiencing Hurricane Irma first hand, we are aware of the necessary resources that will be required to rescue, regenerate and rebuild communities. If you are able to assist, we ask you to join founders Bryan, Sarah, and their family in supporting these relief efforts.
Update Sept.10: Caerula Mar has begun to distribute initial donations for search and rescue efforts . We are currently working with local Government and agencies currently on the ground for immediate and direct relief efforts including Head Knowles, Global Empowerment, All Hands & Hearts, Yacht Aid & Seven Seas as well as Rotary and Red Cross.
Update September 14: Thanks to your generous donations, thousands of relief supplies made it directly into the hands of families in Grand Bahama & Abaco. Thank you to Makers Air, for partnering with us to provide aircraft services and flight personnel. Thank you to the team on the ground in Florida for coordinating all of the supplies, and to the countless volunteers on the ground here in The Bahamas helping to deliver these relief items.
Update September 17: Sarah took a quick trip home to Canada last week to help coordinate a very special relief effort – collecting new clothing for the Children’s Emergency Hostel. This Hostel is currently housing children ages newborn to 8 that have been orphaned as a result of Dorian. An enormous thank you to the team at Joe Fresh for answering our call to action and providing hundreds of sleepers and outfits for these young children.
This campaign will run until September 30th and the Baeumler Family Foundation (a registered Canadian charity) will be matching campaign goal proceeds.
