Carbondale Baristas Solidarity Fund

We are the baristas at the E Main & N Lewis Starbucks in Carbondale, IL.

In August 2022, we became the first unionized Starbucks location in southern Illinois. This could not have been possible without the solidarity and support from this community as we joined the biggest labor movement of the 21st century.

We are fighting to bargain our first contract with the company, who have yet to bargain in good faith. In the meantime, this fund will benefit baristas that are barely getting by due to massive retaliatory labor cuts by Starbucks to dissuade unionization efforts. Our coworkers should not go without groceries, medical care, and other necessities just because they exercise their right to organize.

To all of you who have lent any support to Carbondale baristas during this movement, you have our sincerest thanks and gratitude. We couldn't have gotten this far without you, and we will continue to fight for Carbondale workers.
