Care For Joe

Mr. Joseph Gaines (Mr. Joe) drove school children on route BT3 of the Hopewell Valley Regional School District, NJ for almost a decade. During this time, Mr. Joe lovingly took care of all the children he came in touch with and is universally admired for all that he selflessly did for “my children or my little friends” (in his words). The children loved traveling on the “Happy Bus” as the school bus was fondly called.
Since September of 2018 Mr. Joe unfortunately has been unable to drive the “Happy Bus”. Mr. Joe is currently battling prostrate cancer.
He is about to undergo stem cell treatment for four weeks in January 2019 at the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ. Mr. Joe is retired and is on Medicare which covers only 80% of the expenses. This appeal for funds is being sent out to help defray some of his medical expenses.
Please do help by contributing whatever you can. Every bit counts.
Thank you.
