The CCA is a non-political, all-inclusive, volunteer group opposing mining within the Clarence catchment area. Formed in 2018 to protect our valley when multinational mining companies began mineral exploration.
Our members are volunteers from a cross-section of the community and we meet regularly. We lobby for changes to government legislation to exclude mining from areas of unique and high conservation value, from water catchment areas, and in areas of cultural significance to protect it permanently.
