Chloe, Steve and family

Hi, my name is Shauna and I am fundraising for Chloe & Steve and their five children (Hayley, Ariarna, Remi, Olivia and Sunny) to help them get into a new home and replace their furniture and household items that they have had to let go of due to toxic mould.

In the last month they have had to leave their home and stay elsewhere because their home isn't safe to be in. The spore count in one of the bedrooms was 98499! Per cubic metre, normal mould ecology is under 1000!!!

The family has been separated into different homes and Chloe has been away from her youngest babies more than ever in their lives.

This year has been rough for them. Steve in particular has had an extraordinary list of symptoms from severe body aches and pains, migraine and pains behind his eyes, light and sound sensitivity, stomach pain, neurological symptoms. He has had numerous falls, sometimes many per day and dizzy spells, memory loss, loss of speech, and stuttering. Extreme fatigue and weakness to the point that he struggles to walk or carry a bag of groceries.

He had to quit his job he loved because he was too sick to go to work. They had to spend the money that was put aside for a new car, and withdraw superannuation to cover medical appointments. Steve has seen numerous specialists, doctors, Chinese Med doctors, naturopath, and a hospital trip complete with brain MRI. Chloe thought he had cancer, and after caring for her dad end of life she knows exactly what that looks like.

While they were at homeschool camp (that they attended so they could spend a week all together and not break the kids hearts) while waiting for the mould lab tests to come back, their landlord entered the property without permission when he was informed it wasn't safe and started 'fixing' the shower, further spreading spores thoughout the house and their belongings.
