Crisis: Group of Friends Displaced By House Fire

We understand that everyone is going through a lot right now with the on-going health pandemic, but our lives were unfortunately made more difficult last week when a fire took our home
During the early morning on May 9th, an electrical fire broke out in our laundry room due to a malfunction of a circuit breaker. The ensuing fire eventually consumed the outside of half of the house and spread throughout our attic, pouring incredible amounts of smoke and water from the fire fighters into the rooms below, causing at least minor damage to most of our belongings, with many things being outright destroyed and unsalvageable.
Luckily, there were no fatalities and all people, dogs, fish and reptiles were safetly evactuated from the building. I did personally receive some Arc Flash Burns on my eyes from trying to put out an electrical fire, but they should heal on their own in a few days.
Some of us find ourselves in a circumstance where we will not have a place to live, let alone call home. For this reason, we are asking for $5,000 to help with new move in expenses and rent assistance. We know a lot of people are struggling, but anything extra you may be able to spare would be appreciated beyond words.
Of the $5000, half would go to me and half would go to my Roommate, Francisco Lorente, who is struggling to find new housing at this time. Anything exceeding this amount will go towards a donation to the Red Cross, who gave us some assistance immediately after the fire, and other charities that assist families in times of crisis.
