Cunningham- Larsen ALS Fundraiser

Dear Friends and Supporters, 

We come to you today with heavy hearts but unwavering hope. Mike Cunningham and Della Larsen, beloved members of our community, have been diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), a progressive neurodegenerative disease that currently has no cure. 

About Mike and Della: Mike and Della have always been pillars of strength, kindness, and generosity in our lives. Mike, husband of Cheryl Cunningham (4th grade teacher at the Hansen school) and father of Dylan (Class of 2018) and Emma (Class of 2020) and Della Larsen, wife of Ron Larsen and mother to Michael (Class of 2016), Matthew (Class of 2018) and Katherine (Class of 2021). Mike has been an active member of the Canton community; director of the boys youth lacrosse program for several years, a baseball and hockey coach. Similarly, Della has been active in Canton as a St. Gerard’s CCD teacher, President of the National Charity League, Robotics Coach, and was active in CAPT and CAPE. 

Their Battle Against ALS: ALS has begun to take its toll on Mike and Della, robbing them of their ability to perform everyday tasks and enjoy the activities they once loved. As their expenses continue to rise, we are reaching out to our community for support. 

How You Can Help: Your generous donations will go towards: 

 • Medical Expenses: Covering the cost of ongoing treatments, medications, and specialized equipment needed to improve their quality of life. 

 • In-home Care: Providing funds for professional caregivers to assist with daily tasks and ensure Mike and Della receive the support they need. 

 • Accessibility Modifications: Adapting their home to accommodate their changing mobility needs, including wheelchair ramps and bathroom modifications.

 • Research, nonprofits, and families with ALS.
