Hi. My name is Sierra Putnam. In march, I was diagnosed with Aveolar Rhabdomysarcoma, a rare form of cancer that grew just above my left ear next to my temple. It was a one in a million chance.

I love the outdoors, especially riding my mountain bike. I love racing and facing my fears. I like to whitewater kayak and nordic ski. In full honesty, it has been horrible to feel like those things have been taken from me. I don't want to be the kind of person who does nothing for a whole day. That's just not who I am. To truly get those things back would mean the world to me and my family. That is why I need your help, because while I feel so scarred and weak, I know that the race course, the river, the person I want to be, is waiting for me.
