Darek Krol Memorial Fund

As you know, our larger than life friend, Darek Krol died in an avalanche on 12/26 while backcountry skiing on Berthoud Pass. Words can't express how deep and how widespread this loss is felt, and will continue to be felt, in the weeks and months ahead. Darek was a pillar in our community and a treasure of a man. He brought joy,  laughter, and love to everyone he met. He is irreplaceable.


Many of you have asked how you can help right now, and friends of the family decided that setting up this page to help with the recovery and transportation costs and to help Anita in this time of transition financially, would be the best thing we can do. If you're able to pitch in, any amount would be helpful and greatly appreciated. 


Beyond donating now, please remember to continue to reach out to Anita and Nina, as well as each other, in the coming months. We all will grieve in different ways but while the shock and pain is greatest for many right now, we need to remember that for his family it is much deeper. So thank you for your donations now, but please continue to reach out and show Anita and Nina love over the coming year. 

Darek, you will be missed more than we can say, but your smile, laughs, encouragement, and radiant personality will stay with us forever.
