Access to safe, legal abortion care has been under attack for decades. In typical times there are an increasing number of barriers to access and, during this COVID-19 pandemic, it is more difficult than ever. Between safely travelling hours to the nearest clinic, securing lodging, food, childcare, and the money for the medical procedure, many people are simply unable to access the reproductive choice that they believe is best for themselves and their families. 

Who Are We?

Allegheny Reproductive Health Center (ARHC) is the only independent provider of both abortion care and reproductive healthcare services in Western Pennsylvania. We offer nonjudgmental, high quality, safe and compassionate care to people from the tri-state area (PA, WV, OH) and beyond! We believe that every person seeking abortion or other reproductive health services must receive excellent care, regardless of their ability to pay. Many of our patients are uninsured, under-insured, can't afford costly care at hospitals, and require hospital level care. ARHC is only non-hospital provider of abortion up to the legal gestational age limit in this region. We are also the only non-hospital provider that does all levels of sedation including light, moderate and monitored anesthesia care (MAC) sedation.


The COVID-19 pandemic has changed life for everyone, and it is more important than ever that people control their own reproductive lives. WE REMAIN OPEN during this difficult time. ARHC provides medical and surgical abortions 4 days per week and our phones are open 6 days a week. We also have 24 hour call coverage for any emergency issues.

Who Does the Abortion Fund Serve?
The Western Pennsylvania Fund for Choice (WPFFC) is the abortion fund associated with ARHC, serving all patients who need assistance. Our mission it to help people pay for abortion care when they otherwise couldn’t afford it. WPFFC believes that every person should be in charge of their own reproductive decisions and what is best for their family. To achieve this healthcare must be comprehensive so we fund travel, lodging, food, childcare, and the medical procedure.
