ALL YOU CAN EAT Soft Serve Parties

Sweet Melissa's was hoping to get our soft serve shop open for the last week of March this year, but with cases of Covid-19 coming into Tompkins County, we are delaying our opening until closer to mid-April. Sweet Melissa's has become such a community gathering spot when we open every year in the Spring, and we feel it is our responsibility to maintain the CDC's recommendation for social distancing. Unfortunately this comes at the tail end of our off season and taking a couple weeks longer to open will greatly impact our family.
To thank our donors for graciously helping us this Spring, we will be throwing 3 private parties this Summer. For every $10 you donate, you will get a personalized wristband for one of these events for ALL YOU CAN EAT SOFT SERVE ICE CREAM! ($40=4 wristbands for a family of 4, etc.).
We will open 1-2 hours early the day of the party (either 11am or noon depending on how many people donate) and hand out wristbands to donors only. Then- order from our main soft serve menu (one order at a time) until your hearts content. ANYTHING from our regular soft serve menu- sundaes, flurries, dipped cones, you name it! The only things not included will be milkshakes, hard ice cream, or specials. You can use your wristband up until 2pm the day of.
Dates of parties will be Sunday June 14, Sunday July 19, and Saturday August 15. Let us know in the comments when you donate which date you're most likely coming for and remember the name you use for our list. You can also show us an email confirmation when you "check in" with us the day of. Definitely follow us on either Facebook or Instagram (@ithacaicecream) if anything changes, like a rain date.
We thought this could be a really fun alternative to asking for purchasing gift certificates from us. We also highly recommend supporting other small businesses during this time by purchasing gift certificates from them.
We are so so so grateful for all the support the community has always given us. I know this will disappoint a lot of people that we aren't opening just yet, but hopefully the prospect of a full on unlimited soft serve eating party in the summer months will give everyone something fun to look forward to!! Update 3/26/2020- Because of so many people’s generosity near and far, we are able to add on a FOURTH private Soft Serve party this summer (or summer of 2021 depending on everything) for staff and campers of GIAC!!! Greater Ithaca Activities Center is such a wonderful part of Ithaca and we are so happy to be able to provide some happiness to this awesome community center, and it’s all because of YOU!! Thank you to everyone who asked to “pay it forward” with their donations!! ❤️❤️ If you’d like to donate to our GoFundMe for the Giac party, just comment “Giac party” with your donation (in any amount)!!
