DennisTheBorder - Surgery

Dennis is a 10 month old Border Terrier who required emergency surgery on New Years day 2020 after a suspected blockage in his stomach. This was caused due to him eating part of a toy a couple of days before.  His surgery has been successful and removed the blockage from his stomach/gut and his current recovering at the animal hospital for the next 3 days (as of 01/01/2020)  Dennis has been with me since he was 8 weeks old and his had a couple of bump and scrapes in his young life, at 6 months he had a fracture of right rear leg sustained while playing with another dog.  The main reason that I made Dennis part of my family is as a long term coping mechanism with my own battles with my mental health. He makes me get out of the house and to venture back out into the world. His a cheeky and over confident chap who like nothing more than seeing the world and saying hello to everyone he comes across.  I can honestly say that even though his only been part of my family for since June 2019 I can't imagine him not being here. The same battles with my mental health have also seen me off sick from work for most of 2019 and currently on a "career break" while I get myself back into a better frame of mind. This mean I don't have the fund that have been forecast for this unforeseen visit to the vets and necessary urgent care that he required.  Dennis isn't insured again due to the need to cut back to improve my day to day financial position (Well didn't that work out well!) This as you can imagine has put a lot of extra strain onto my current situation.
