Get Detour Slam Team to SoFried 2023

The Detour Slam Team has been hard at work preparing for this year's Southern Fried Poetry Festival competition in Knoxville, Tn. To get there, we NEED your help. We ask for donations to help cover the team's hotel accommodations, rental, gas, and food expenses. Our goal is $2,000 and we are trying to reach this by June 3rd. Here is some information about the Detour Slam Team:

The Detour Slam Team is a Fayetteville, NC-based poetry slam team founded by LeJuane "El'Ja" Bowens. Founded in 2019, the Detour Slam Team consists of five poets who perform and compete across the country. In 2019, the team ranked #11 in the Southern Fried Poetry Festival and 10th in 2021. Since then, the team has performed in numerous events/festivals including the NC African Film Festival, Juneteenth Freedom Festival, National Black Film Festival, and the 14th Annual Storytellers Festival along with performing for the Wounded Warrior Project.

Any little bit helps, whether it be $1, $5, or more. Please help us out in reaching our destination and representing Fayetteville, NC at this year's festival.
