Diego Ruiz Chile Peppers
My name is Ezequiel P. Ruiz JR. My three brothers and I opened
Chile Peppers in Scripps ranch 20 years ago. We are fortunate to
have the communities support through the years and we are
great full for all the love and support Scripps Ranch has given us.
Unfortunately, our baby brother Diego Ruiz had a traumatic brain injury while riding his scooter. This occurred on Friday, July 3rd on Timberlake dr. He was in an induced coma for over two weeks and
has recently regained some functions. We hope to provide him
with the best care we can afford to give him.
Due to Covid-19, the hospital is virtually on lockdown so
visitations are not permissible. Due to his injuries Diego is
extremely agitated and the fact that he has no family by his side
makes it worse.
As of today, Tuesday, August 4, Diego is now able to walk with
assistance. He can communicate and is beginning to eat on his
own. We are hoping to bring him home so that our family can
provide him with all our love and support that is essential for his
recovery.
Our ultimate goal is to bring my brother home. We are looking for the community’s assistance to help us afford Diego with a nurse and provide physical therapy from home.
