Support The Dump Truck during COVID-19!

The COVID-19 crisis has left many Americans without income or work. The restaurant and hospitality industry is particularly affected, and as the owner/operator of a new small business, I find myself in a difficult situation.

I was laid off from my other restaurant jobs that I relied on for living expenses  and truck operations soon came to a halt.

Currently I'm working to expand revenue streams to keep The Dump Truck afloat.

Over the course of the pandemic I have:
1. Joined PVD Kitchen Collaborative, a commissary kitchen to facilitate production and distribution of meals.
2. Launched STREETSTEAKS, a side project specializing in cheesesteak-style sandwiches–the first of its kind in Providence!
3. Begun developing a line of condiments and frozen food items to sell at retail for home consumption.
4. Begun accepting catering orders with special attention to COVID regulations and environmentally responsible disposables.
5. Acquired a Food Peddler's license to enable participation at farmers markets.

While I was fortunate enough to find some success in these endeavors, the day-to-day expenses of running the business are still mounting. The truck still needs most of the cooking equipment and some safety equipment to be on the road. To meet state fire safety requirements alone, the truck itself needs a new fire suppression system quoted at almost $10,000.

Money is incredibly tight for so many of us these days, so if you can't contribute just spreading the word is enough.
Thank you so much for reading and for your continued support!
