* we have updated the goal amount because we again reached our second goal! Thank you so much. We don’t truly have a $$$ goal, we just want to send as many people to camp
as possible in Durhams name. We hope to use this fund to send kids through Big Brothers, big sisters to a camp of their choosing & we hope to send people of all ages to Camp Tidnish. We just want to keep spreading laughter & joy*
*we have updated the goal amount because we reached our first one. Thankyou so much for all of your kind love and support as we try to navigate this world without Durham and figure out how we are going to honour him. The love and support from everyone has been holding us up as we go through this trauma. Thank you so much for being there for us. We are so grateful*
Hello,
we are Justine and Jayde Laporte. We are the older sisters to Durham Laporte. On January 2nd our baby brother suddenly died, just shy of his 26th birthday. There is no making sense of this tragedy and we don’t really know how to continue on life without him. What we do know is that we want to honour him and continue to spread laughter throughout life like he did. Durham worked at many camps as he was growing up, so we hope that part of the funds collected can go towards assisting one of those camps with new stage, sound systems, etc.
He also had just opened up his own comedy space in Dartmouth and perhaps some of the funds can also go towards making sure that continues. He has a great group of comedian friends who will continue to support his club. We hope to have an annual comedy show in his name, and this would be a great space for that.
We want the funds to spread kindness, help people and continue to make people feel seen and heard because that’s what Durham did. He made you feel like the most important person in the room ❤️❤️
Thankyou
