Welcome to Echo's GoFundMe Page!!!

Echo Theatre  is celebrating 20 years of producing plays written by women.   We will open the season with RUINED, by Lynn Nottage in September; followed by Echo's own creation, HER SONG 2018 in February.  We will round out the season with Hurricane Diane, by Madeleine George; our LGBTQ+ show celebrating Pride Month in June.   Add our popular Echo Reads series, and you have a fantastic SEASON 20 for Echo Theatre!

RUINED, by Lynn Nottage (September 2017)
This important production won the 2009 Pulitzer Prize for drama.  Set in the Democratic Republic of Congo, this haunting, probing work is about the resilience of the human spirit during times of war.  This powerful play follows Mama Nadi, a shrewd businesswoman in a land torn apart by civil war.   But is protecting or profiting by the women she shelters?  How far will she go to survive?  Can a price be placed on a human life?  With poetry, grace, and humor; RUINED takes us on an unforgettable journey.

Join Echo as we turn the theatre at the Bath House Cultural Center into a 1935 Supper Club.  This jazzy dance and song revue features jewels from the great American female songbook.   This is the last year we will be doing this show for awhile.  It's the best date night in February!

In June of 2018, Echo will once again celebrate Pride month with the Regional Premiere of HURRICANE DIANE, by Madeleine George.  In this wild comedy, the Greek god Dionysus returns to Earth as a lesbian permaculture gardener from Vermont on a mission to gather followers and restore the Earth to its natural state. Where to begin? How about with a planned community in Jersey and the housewives who love it?
