My name is Ahmed, I am 20 years old and I come from Gaza, Palestine. I have been living in Germany since the beginning of the war in Gaza. Today I am writing to you with a heart full of worries and hardships, and I h to find a spark of hope and support for my family.

My father, Ibrahim Arafat, was a hardworking man, 62 years old, who ran a small business through which he provided for us. But in the wake of the genocide in Gaza, my family's life changed tragically. On one of the dark nights, filled with the sounds of shelling and explosions, our house was bombed and completely destroyed. My family lost everything that night, our home, our memories and our dreams.

Our house was not just walls and a roof, but a symbol of security and stability. The loss of the business that my father had built with his toil and sweat has increased our suffering as we are now without income and without means to secure our basic needs. I feel helpless and pained when I see my father, who has worked hard all his life and is now powerless in the face of this disaster.

On June 24, 2024, when my 28-year-old brother Ismail Arafat was distributing food to people in need, he was killed by one of the rocket attacks on civilians by the Israeli occupation forces. Before his death, my brother had a dream that his family would live in safety and have access to the food, water and shelter they needed. He also dreamed of getting married and having children, but he was not fortunate enough to realize these dreams. He died while doing good, smiling as if he sensed that his end was near.

Now I, Ahmed, would like us to make an effort to get my family (father, mother and sister) out of Gaza to a place where they can rebuild their lives far away from war and destruction. But this dream requires financial means, which we do not have. That is why I am making an urgent appeal to you today. We need your support and help so that my family can travel and start a new life.

Your donation will be a lifeline for my family. It will help us secure a new home and regain a part of our lives destroyed by the war. Please open your hearts and help us.
