F3 Behind Bars

Tax deductible
If you had an opportunity to transform our prison system from the inside out and empower Justice Involved individuals to become high-impact men, would you take it? We say YES!

Who are we? My name Leo Novsky, and I am known in the F3 gloom as Pure Lead. I have been in F3 for over three years and am the founder of ReStartup Academy, the 501c3 , sponsoring F3 Behind Bars at Monroe. FOr the last 10 years I have been helping unlock untapped human potential behind bars. With me is Victor Sauceda, known in the F3 gloom as Roma. He was a graduate of one of the programs I have ran inside the prison and since being released 2 yrs ago has joined F3 and has become what we in F3 refer to as a HIM (High Impact Man)- someone who influences movement to advantage.

And we are on the mission to introduce F3 to the men incarcerated inside Monroe Correctional Complex and beyond.

Below you will find the program description, but beware, it is full of F3 unique jargon. Don’t worry; it is also part of the journey!

F3 Behind Bars is the first-of-its-kind program built on the mission of F3Nation - to plant, grow, and serve small workout groups for men for the invigoration of male community leadership. And with over 70,000 men joining over 3000 open, free, peer-led workouts held outside rain or shine across the US and abroad, F3 has been life-changing to so many of us!

But to date, it has not been introduced into the prisons - where the shame-filled, violent and isolated environment incarcerated men find themselves in often leads not to rehabilitation but to additional trauma and more violence.

What's worse is many of the incarcerated men, when released, often lack the foundation, support, and accountability to succeed.

This is where F3 Behind Bars comes in. With limited but CRUCIAL support from the F3 volunteers like Roma and I, the F3 Pax (community) will form an AO (Area of Operations)-a location to workout at. The men joining F3BB will get a weekly opportunity to do a fun but challenging Bootcamp. They will also get to sit in a circle and discuss Q source, a compendium of advice of how we can grow as High Impact Men. This workout will then expand beyond one day led by the men themselves, as is done at an F3 workout around the country and beyond.

Every quarter we will organize a Convergence where dozens of regular F3 men will come to work out together and learn from each other.

Finally, F3 Behind Bars will offer crucial post-release support to help those F3 men who are released to integrate with a healthy, constructive community of the F3 Nation.

This program is NOT a walk in the park (more like bear crawl with Burpees), But it IS life-affirming and empowers men to be Freed to Lead. Our goal is to "leave no man behind and leave no man where we found them!"

The money you donate will supply personal development books to incarcerated men and limited financial and equipment support to those being released. And the first $2,243 will be MATCHED by F3 Foundation, which supports this grassroots effort.

Together, the $4,486 is earmarked to get 20 men going through the F3BB. All the money raised above will go toward growing the F3 at Monroe at other yards and starting additional AOs statewide.

DISCLAIMERS: So this is F3 Behind Bars! F3 or F3 Behind Bars is not part of any religious sect, gang, or mens movement. It is simply a group of men who are motivated to wake up early, workout hard and support each other and the communities they live in.
